In his first solo work after launching Jay Blasi Design, Jay returned to his home state and a course he visited often in his youth when he accompanied his father’s high-school golf team to tournaments there. But he didn’t let nostalgia hold him back from leading an innovative renovation that involved rerouting the course to incorporate previously unused land, enhancing both its playability and aesthetic appeal.
Notable additions from this redesign include the par-3 third hole, transformed from a simple stand of trees, and the par-3 12th hole, developed on a peninsula into the site’s biggest lake. These strategic enhancements have significantly contributed to SentryWorld’s reputation, culminating in its selection as the host for the 2023 U.S. Senior Open.
